  I signed up 11/1/15. never got a card/confirmation email, nothing. I finally called only to be on hold for THREE HOURS! I was disconnected twice after holding for an hour each time. When I did finally get through, it was another hour of several transfers between departments before a received an ID number and a promise of a card in 7-10 business days. WTF? I tried registering online with my ID# to print out a card. no go. Got a message, "Things aren't working as we planned. Please call customer service." another 30 minutes on hold and I finally could print out my card. Is that the end? F**** no. I went to the pharmacy to day to get my pills and guess what? The pharmacist tells me my insurance expired 12/31/16. WHAT? the effected start date when I signed up was 1/1/17! I call the number on the back of my card, more waiting, am told I need to call another number, call that number, TRANSFERRED AGAIN only to be told call volume is so heavy they won't even put me in the queue AND THEY HAND UP ON ME! They knew damn well this period would be extra busy yet did less than nothing to prepare for the high volume. In my 46 years I have never had a worse customer service experience. I've only had insurance from Anthem for four days (but not really) and I already want change providers. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANTHEM!
